Genealogy Requests Online: The WCPL Genealogy/Reference Department research center offers research services to those individuals interested in obtaining genealogical and historical data from the vast resources of the department’s collection but who cannot conduct an on-site investigation at the present time. The research is performed by individuals experienced in conducting genealogical research and in using the resources of the Genealogy Department. Up to an hour will be spent evaluating the research question, exploring primary and secondary sources, obtaining copies of pertinent documents, and composing a research response. The fee for this service is $5.00 (for each name or date needing researched), non-refundable and paid in advance. A research response (limited to three pages) sent via email will incur no additional charge. Mailing copies and information via postal mail will result in a charge for copies and postage.
Please Click HERE for a Research Form which you may print, fill out and mail to the library.
