Register until June 8
Program runs through July 26
THEME:
An Appetite for Life
The Washington Carnegie
Public Library is offering
its adult patrons an interesting,
lively and tasty summer reading
program. This year's theme is
"An
Appetite for Life."
We will explore the lives of some of
America’s most famous 20th
century personalities and why France
became their muse. Come experience
the “joie de vivre”, the French way
of living!
PRIZES: You can
earn a chance to win a prize one
of 5 ways
1.Read “Julia Child My Life
in France” or “Z: a novel of
Zelda Fitzgerald”. These are
the selected titles for the book
discussions. Pick up a copy of the
books at the circulation desk.
Please read and return so others can
check it out before the book
discussion---there are limited
copies available. “Z” is
available on Overdrive as an
audiobook, and “My Life in
France” is also available as an
ebook or audiobook. Please sign
into your Overdrive account when
checking to see if the book is open
for check-out. We have copies
purchased that give WCPL patrons
priority status.
2.Submit the completed two
quizzes and receive one entry.
Please turn in the quizzes when all
are finished.
3.Attend a program or book
discussion and earn one entry each
time.
